🌙 My Journey – From Christianity to Islam
I was born into a Christian family, but after a long thirst for the truth, I found Islam and became a Muslim.
That choice was the greatest challenge of my life.
But that challenge did not end there.
I left my homeland, Korea, to pursue deeper knowledge.
In a new environment, I continued my journey toward the truth.
As a Korean, and as a new Muslim,
the path of seeking knowledge was never easy.
First, I began studying how to properly perform acts of worship and devotion.
Then, to understand and memorize the Qur’an, I started learning Arabic from the very beginning,
studying Makharij al-Huruf (مخارج الحروف) and Tajweed (تجويد) as foundations.
Later, I tried to enter an Islamic university,
but my admission was rejected due to my age.
However, I did not give up.
Instead of giving up, I chose the path of online study.
But even that was not an easy road.
Other students already had perfect command of Arabic,
and most of them had memorized the entire Qur’an from childhood and came only to obtain a degree.
Professors, considering their high level,
progressed very quickly in their lessons,
and there was almost no consideration for new Muslims.
During that time, I wrote and posted daily and sent many messages,
but I could not find a single sheikh who was willing to help me.
However, I completely understand them.
Because the sheikhs are already responsible for teaching at their universities or academies,
it is difficult for them to spare extra time just for me.
And now I finally understood the reason.
Why there is no Islamic madrasa in Korea,
why there is only one Korean imam,
and why Islam has not been properly spread in Korea.
Yet I still did not give up, and I finally found the solution!
It is to help myself with my own hands.
First, I will teach Korean online.
With the money I earn, I will pay my rent and living expenses.
If no one supports me, I will support myself — I will cheer for myself and continue to seek knowledge.
Second, I have established a broadcasting company focused on YouTube activities and officially registered it with the Korean government.
Through this company, I opened an official bank account and created PayPal and Patreon accounts.
This allows anyone to legally support my YouTube activities.
Through my Patreon account, people can make automatic monthly donations,
and when the total reaches $1,000 per month,
I promise to dedicate my entire time to seeking knowledge, translating Islamic books into Korean, producing Korean-language Islamic videos, and teaching new Korean Muslims,
without wasting time on other side jobs.
This Patreon account is a legally registered, tax-paying account, so you can also see how much support is collected each month.

Third, to support my own studies, I will personally create an Islamic Academy Platform.
Through YouTube, Facebook, X, and Instagram,
I will find people who are willing to donate knowledge,
and by opening real-time Zoom lessons at fixed times,
those who can join at that time will help with my studies.
This kind of knowledge donation in Islam is not a simple Sadaqah,
but a Sadaqah Jariyah,
a continuous charity far more valuable than money.
And I will spread in Korean what I have learned in Arabic,
so that Korean people can benefit.
Moreover, I will become the first graduate of the Islamic Academy that I have created,
and afterward, I will translate the books I have studied into Korean,
so that Korean students can learn Islam in their own language.
My challenge has only begun.
And once again, I say: I will never give up. In shaa Allah!
🌿 A Message to You
Now, I invite you to take on the same challenge.
If someone like me could do it, then surely you can too!
And this is the greatest challenge we can ever take in our lives.
📖 The Importance of Seeking Knowledge
1️⃣ Qur’an:
“Are those who know equal to those who do not know?” — [Az-Zumar 39:9]
“Allah will raise those who believe among you and those who were given knowledge by degrees.” — [Al-Mujadilah 58:11]
2️⃣ Hadith:
“The one who travels a path to seek knowledge, Allah will make the path to Paradise easy for him.” — (Muslim)
📚 The Importance of Studying the Qur’an
1️⃣ Qur’an:
“Indeed, this Qur’an guides to that which is most upright.” — [Al-Isra 17:9]
“And recite the Qur’an with measured recitation.” — [Al-Muzzammil 73:4]
2️⃣ Hadith:
“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” — (Bukhari)
📜 Conclusion:
Knowledge is the weapon of the believer, and the Qur’an is the source of that knowledge.
A Muslim must keep learning throughout life, act upon what they learn, and share it with others.
That is the path of true faith.
And that is the greatest challenge we can ever take in our lives.
